Picket fences were common in the NSW railway landscape, particularly in the first half of the 20th Century.  They were used on platforms, along the boundary of the railway precinct and around railway properties such as station officer's accommodation, gatekeeper's cottages, barracks and signal boxes.

This is an etched nickel silver kit representing standard NSWGR 4'-6" high picket fence with 8"x 8" king posts at 8'-8" centres.

The kit contains a double panel and two single panels and includes styrene to build-up the 8" king posts and 4" x 4" arris rails.
