Picket fences were common in the NSW railway landscape, particularly in the first half of the 20th Century.  They were used on platforms, along the boundary of the railway precinct and around railway properties such as station officer's accommodation, gatekeeper's cottages, barracks and signal boxes.

An etched nickel-silver part representing a standard NSWGR wicket gate, 4'-3" high, 3'-0" wide.

Includes styrene to represent 6" x 6" king posts and 4" x 4" bracing.
